Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Fixwright mobile application ("the App"), developed by Power Prepper LLC, handles information.

The short version

Fixwright is offline-first. We operate no servers and do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Your searches, AI answers, saved items, and everything you enter stay on your device. The App goes online only when you ask it to: once on first run to download its offline library.

Information we do NOT collect

We operate no servers that receive your data. We do not collect your name, email, location history, contacts, search queries, photos, or usage analytics. The App requests no account and no sign-in.

Data stored on your device

Some features store data locally on your device only — for example saved passages and bookmarks. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete it or uninstall the App.

Device permissions

The App may ask for certain permissions to enable features you choose to use:

  • Microphone — for hands-free voice search, processed on-device.
  • Camera / photos (future Gear ID feature) — to identify a part or tool from a photo, processed entirely on-device. Images are never uploaded.

    • You can deny or revoke any of these in your device settings; the related feature will simply be unavailable.

    Internet access

    The App is offline-first and needs no connection for its core features. There are two times it may use the internet, both only at your explicit request:

  • One-time library download — on first run the App downloads its offline repair library and AI models (several gigabytes) from our content delivery service, after showing you the size and asking you to start it. This is an ordinary file download: it sends nothing about you beyond a standard web request, and once complete the library lives on your device and the App runs fully offline.
  • External links — if you tap a link such as "Find the manual", the App hands off to your browser. We do not control third-party sites you open this way.

    • Children

    The App is a general-audience repair reference and is not directed at children.

    Changes

    We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
